Job Description

Our client in the Transportation industry has a wonderful opportunity available for an HR Administrator. In this role, you will be responsible for the day to day administration and HR support in the following areas: recruitment & selection, employee onboarding, payroll verification, HR analytics, and employee relations. You will also be leading the Social Committee.

Working Monday - Friday 8am/8:30am - 4:30/5pm
Location: Mississauga, with 1-2 days a month in their Brampton location
100% working on site
Annual Salary: $45-50K

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Create, maintain and complete pre and post payroll auditing reports and processes as required.
  • You will coordinate the full-cycle recruitment process, including drafting job postings, identifying recruitment strategies, advertising, screening, creating interview guides, scheduling and conducting interviews, extending offers, coordinating reference and criminal record checks.
  • Oversee the bi-weekly time and attendance processing for payroll purposes. You will review employee timecards, for accuracy and completeness, in time and attendance system (Kronos).
  • Responsible for overseeing SAP (HRIS system) to ensure accurate recording, maintaining, and reporting of human resource information, updating employee files, status changes, address changes.
  • Support the JHSC and Health & Safety programs, as well as Health & Safety reporting.
  • Process proper paper work for maternity leaves, parental leaves and any other personal leave of absences.
  • Provide administrative support at the site level to support company-wide initiatives including HR analytics, reports, scholarship program, tuition reimbursement, recognition, employee surveys, benefits administration (including enrollment, changes, queries) etc.
  • Perform administrative duties such as setting up files, typing labels and filing paperwork, preparing employment verification letters and safety shoe vouchers.


Qualifications and Experience
  • College or University degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field.
  • CHRP designation is an asset.
  • Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in Human Resources.
  • Knowledge and practical experience with employment legislation, such as Canada Labour Code, Health and Safety, and WSIB, is an asset.
  • Previous experience with Kronos is an asset.
