Job Description

Seeking a Mailroom Clerk with a reliability clearance for our Federal Government client. They are located right downtown (ON SITE). Full time hours Monday through Friday. Contracting starting ASAP , possible extension.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Plans, organizes, manages and administers the activities and workflow of providing reprographics and mailroom services
  • Researches and responds to enquiries and provides consultative advice, information and recommendations to Judges, managers and employees on printing and mailroom procedures and policies, and the services available from the unit
  • Ensures quality control measures are in place for all in-house printed material and mail and courier material. Maintains the security of protected material.
  • Creates and maintains a record book; and creates file numbers and case names.
  • Coordinate pick-ups and deliveries, maintain logs and verify invoices for messenger and mail services. Operate postage meter machine, verifies and programs rate changes.
  • Controls, sorts, processes and manages incoming, outgoing, facsimiles and inter-office mail, using both manual and automated methods.
  • Controls administrative functions related to the building operations unit, including ordering and storing supplies, filing, shredding operations, recycling operations, binding printed material, preparing correspondence, verify invoices and supplying the Court with paper throughout the building
  • Delivers and distributes printed documents, office supplies, newspapers etc
  • Creates and maintains an information holdings system related to judgements, motions, etc. for reference and research purposes

Qualifications and Experience
  • Secondary school diploma or an acceptable combination of education, training and relevant work experience
  • 12 months relevant experience
