Job Description

Our client in the public sector is hiring for a unique position: Project Manager, Marketing Services to join their growing team for a 6 month contract, to start (with potential to extend!)

They offer a HYBRID model (50%/50%), located in Vaughn and a 35 hour work week.

The Project Manager will work with a large Marketing/Communications team and will be responsible for leading and executing multiple projects and campaigns. Day to day, they will work in collaboration with staff to develop, implement and support communications activities, and play a large role in the development of strategy. This position will have one 'dotted-line' with a Graphic Designer.

The ideal candidate has experience managing marketing/communications projects and/or campaigns, has excellent organizational and prioritization skills, and can be client-facing.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Project Planning - defining scope, schedule, and deliverables, leading project meetings, overseeing all details including procurement, performing delivery planning
  • Project Management - liaising with internal staff to ensure deliverables are being met and priorities are clear, following up on implementations, setting up brief meetings, providing quotes on production and delivery, providing advise, overseeing project development of marketing/communications materials, keeping track of efforts and results, analyzing effectiveness of project/program
  • Partner and External Vendor Management - preparing specifications for all print production, hiring/seeking appropriate resources, liaising with vendors and agencies while building strong relationships
  • Strategy - providing marketing/communications analysis/ strategy, identify issues and seek solutions, modify plans/projects, participate in brain-storming sessions

Qualifications and Experience
  • Project management skills
  • Ability to work with tight deadlines
  • Flexible/adaptable
Must have:

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in planning and executing integrated marketing and communications campaigns and projects
  • University Degree or College Diploma in Marketing, Communications, or a related discipline
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong strategic planning skills
  • Strong familiarity with marketing and communications best practices, techniques, and industry standards
Nice to have:

  • A valid Ontario driver's license for occasional travel
  • Experience in the broader public sector, non-profit, regulatory bodies, government, environmental organizations
  • Basic knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
  • PMP certification

Education and Certifications

Minimum education required: University Degree or College Diploma
