Job Description

We are working with a Private Sector client in the Education sector seeking an IT Manager to join their team permanently. The Manager will be responsible to manage and oversee the Council's IT Operations Service sector, the Transportation Consortium and the SAP Center of Excellence (CESAP).

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Support management in providing vision, leadership and direction in the management of the area under its mandate in order to achieve the Council's IT strategy;
  • Support management in the medium and long-term planning of the Council's IT strategy;
  • Participate in the development of the strategic plan and Director of Information Technology Services;
  • Plan, organize, direct and control all the strategic and operational activities of his sector;
  • Actively participate within the multidisciplinary leadership team (EDL), in consultation, validation and development activities related to the Board's strategic vision;
  • Support management in the management and implementation of the Council's IT applications and projects;
  • Advise management on the impact of operational practices or decisions related to IT operations and initiatives;
  • Supervise, supervise and evaluate the staff under his responsibility, ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of the team;
  • Plan, analyze, develop, deploy and operate the services under his responsibility;
  • Develop service and customer relations standards and see to their measurement and application;

Qualifications and Experience
Must have:

  • University degree in computer science or a related field or an equivalent combination deemed by the CECCE of education and relevant experience;
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of computer experience;
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience relevant to the responsibilities of the position;
  • Knowledge of the Google Suite, Microsoft Suite, C2, AirWatch, SISA, SAP, browsers, operating systems, Active Directory, Windows PC/laptop, tablets IPad and Android, chromebooks, projectors and IWB would be an asset;
  • Mastery of the body of knowledge of ITIL, the ISO / IEC 20000 standard and related knowledge areas would be an asset;
  • Fluency in French and English both orally and in writing;
  • Experience in the Ontario education sector would be an asset;

Education and Certifications

Minimum education required: University Degree or College Diploma
