Job Description

Altis Recruitment is seeking a results drive, detail oriented, team player individual to join one our large clients Hiring Team! This position is a temporary full time 1 year contract and you must be comfortable working in office few days days of the week located in Vancouver, BC.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Manage recruitment process from start to finish: job postings, sourcing, interviewing, conducting references and background checks to the offer stage
  • Provide guidance to hiring managers in all areas of internal and external recruitment including: sourcing strategies, policies and procedures, ensuring adherence to provisions of the appropriate Collective Agreements and applicable legislation
  • Manage and edit position requisitions in applicant tracking system and generate weekly reports for hiring managers
  • Stay informed of current trends and innovative recruiting techniques to be competitive and creative with sourcing and attracting quality candidates
  • Develop pre-screening processes to short list talent, determine the selection criteria, testing and assessment requirements in accordance with company policies


Qualifications and Experience
  • 2+ years of recruitment experience in a fast-paced organization
  • Must have experience in a unionized environment
  • Experience with interpreting and applying collective agreement provisions related to job postings
  • Knowledge of employment legislation regulations and hiring practices within collective agreements
  • Working experience with Applicant Tracking Systems and LinkedIn
  • Ability to be flexible and adapt to change
  • Results oriented, with the ability to think analytically and question the status quo
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work with employees at all levels
  • Excellent computer skills using MS Office Suite and HRIS.
