Job Description

Our Waste Management client is looking for an RPA Architect to join their team. The The Sr. Architect will be part of a small Digital Transformation team that supports process improvement and change management. They will support creation of an RPA practice by establishing best practices and governance standards. The successful candidate must be able to travel between the US and Canada (about 20%-40%).

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Define project scope and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with Digital Transformation Lead
  • Design end-to-end solutions using RPA best practices and maintain technical responsibility for project delivery
  • Create high-level architectural specifications, ensuring feasibility, functionality, and integration with existing systems
  • Facilitate requirements gathering sessions, document and validate results with subject matter experts and drive the creation of business value through process improvement and automation
  • Document the key risks, mitigating controls, performance measures, cost drivers and business continuity plans for processes
  • Lead implementation of RPA processes to meet business requirements
  • Create and execute test plans and report results to business stakeholders
  • Perform maintenance and monitoring of RPA artifacts, including enhancements or break fixes

Qualifications and Experience
Must have:

  • 5 years of experience with process automation, including the use of RPA tools
  • Working knowledge of at least one programming language such as C++/#, Python, or Java (preference for Python)
  • Analytical mindset including the ability to define solutions to abstract problems, test solutions, and apply critical thinking
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to make sensible recommendations for action
  • The ability to work within a team, collaborate under pressure, and in a changing environment

    • Able to travel ~20-40% between GTA, US & Canada

Education and Certifications

Minimum education required: University Degree or College Diploma
