Job Description

Our client in Toronto (Yonge and Bloor) is seeking a Decisions Administrator to join their team. This is a 2.5 month contract to start with potential to extend long-term based on performance.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Capture legally defensible rationale in the Committees’ written Decisions and balance competing interests in a manner that is fair and consistent with the action taken by the Committee
  • Analyze and clearly present complex professional behaviour and nursing practice issues relevant to a matter in written communication
  • Respond to and understand the needs of the “audience” to whom Committee decisions are addressed or may apply
  • Recognize the impact of tone and nuance in written communication and to exercise skill and judgement to convey information in an instructive, objective and neutral manner


Qualifications and Experience
  • Combination of post-secondary education and 3 to 5 years relevant work experience
  • Extensive writing and editing experience, preferably in a law-related environment (e.g., legal publishing, regulatory organization, etc.)
  • General knowledge of relevant legislation relating to investigations, including the Regulated Health Professions Act, 1991 (RHPA)
  • Excellent editing and writing skills
  • Ability to work independently and to demonstrate initiative and problem-solving skills to resolve issues relevant to a decision
Must have:
