Job Description

Our client has an exciting opportunity for an experienced financial systems analyst to join their team! Reporting to the Manager, Financial & Payroll Information & Systems, the financial systems analyst is responsible for the transformation, evaluation, improvement and maintenance of the corporate financial systems, business operations and processes.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • What you’ll do
  • As a financial systems analyst you will:
  • Respond to help calls from users, troubleshoot issues, and find solutions for business users
  • Develop new processes and solutions or maintain and improve the existing financial systems
  • Develop or enhance supplementary tools for financial process and system improvements that will automate processes or solve business user problems
  • Identify, define, and create new business reports and maintain existing reporting inventory and tools
  • Participate in team planning to identify the impact of upcoming changes on the current business software environment
  • Identify business process opportunities for clients, implement solutions, and make business and systems-based recommendations
  • Participate in business and technology projects
  • Oversee routine monthly tasks including running queries, reporting, and updating hierarchies in they system

Qualifications and Experience
  • Understand and analyze the functions of a financial system and perform configuration and day-to-day troubleshooting of a financial system application
  • Use a variety of desktop/developer and administrative tools to solve day-to-day problems (e.g., Microsoft Power platform tools, Microsoft Office tools, MS Access, MS Excel)
  • Perform investigative and informational queries using SQL tools
  • Apply accounting and systems knowledge to support our financial systems and Finance team
  • Write business or technical explanatory documentation or manuals
  • Approach work collaboratively, often working in small groups of 2-3 people
  • Provide individualized customer service – collecting specifics or problem details, developing and delivering individualized solutions or fixes, and checking back with clients for feedback

Education and Certifications

Minimum education required: Bachelor's Degree
