Job Description

Our client within the construction industry is seeking an HRBP to join their team on a permanent full-time basis. In this role, you will support two assigned client groups with recruitment & selection, talent management, disability management, compensation & benefits, employee relations, HR programs, training & development and other HR support as required.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Create new role requirements, conduct job analysis and advise managers on hiring requirements
  • Provide workforce planning support as required & facilitate movement of current talent within the organization based on project requirements
  • Support managers with performance management
  • Facilitate training for managers & employees
  • Conduct 9-box talent reviews and support succession management initiatives
  • Conduct compensation analysis and participate in year-end compensation reviews (base pay, STIP, employment letters, etc)
  • Summarize compensation surveys for assigned client groups and work with leadership for submitting salary increases
  • Coordinate employee Return to Work plans, including any accommodations required
  • Educate employees on benefits entitlements & policies while supporting leadership with steps required for certain disability cases
  • Work with managers on employee relations issues, including conflict management & solutions
  • Conduct investigations, deal with conflict management, progressive discipline and handle grievances when required
  • Advise managers on the interpretation of company policies & procedures
  • Conduct layoffs/terminations when required and work with managers to facilitate employee transfers, promotions, demotions, relocations & retirements
  • Support the roll-out of various corporate programs & initiatives, overseeing recognition programs
  • Oversee and mentor the HR administrator and work with other administrators to ensure they address employee inquiries appropriately
  • Conduct talent assessment and identify high performers & next leaders
  • Oversee audits to ensure employee information is accurate for payroll submission
  • Use SAP to provide support to managers & employees as required


Qualifications and Experience
  • 5+ years of HR experience
  • Fluently bilingual in French & English
  • Proficiency with MS Office
  • Ability to handle competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
