Job Description

Our client is seeking a passionate, organized HR Generalist to assist with recruitment and onboarding, employee engagement, policy administration and compliance, as well as employee relations. This is a permanent position with a hybrid model of on-site and remote work located in the GTA.

The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of Human Resources experience, a University Degree or College Diploma in Human Resources, and be proficient in MS Office (word, excel, outlook).

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Assist with onboarding and training for new employees
  • Administer annual performance appraisal processes, design and implement performance plans when required
  • Coordinate and lead employee engagement initiatives to retain great talent
  • Support policy administration and compliance
  • Conduct exit interviews and analyze trends for the development of retention practices
  • Identify employment issues, manage employee relations and consult on improvement initiatives.


Qualifications and Experience
  • University degree or College Diploma in Human Resources or related field
  • Minimum of 1-2 years Human Resources experience
  • Proficiency in MS office tools (word, excel, and outlook)
  • Ability to turn data into action using reports and analysis to impact policies and practices.
Must have:

  • Strong analytical skills, ability to conduct and analyze reports.
Nice to have:

  • Experience with HRIS systems a strong asset
  • Experience in unionized environment a strong asset
