Job Description

Seeking a Data and Reporting Analyst for our private sector client. This is a great long term, 1 year contract, with the possibility of extension. Must be open to working a hybrid position, located is DT Toronto. Full time working hours, Monday to Friday. The ideal candidate, would be familiar with equity, diversity, inclusion and human rights principles and complaint data analysis.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Perform data analysis for Diversity & Culture group including talent management, Human Right and Recruitment,
  • Work with Data governance lead and implement the data governance in specified business domains / departments
  • Perform data analysis and document as-is data process and recommend improvements
  • Manage, create & produce quarterly CEO report including but not limited to Operator new hires
  • Manage, create & produce reports for Executives, TM Managers, Senior Leaders
  • Manage and create new ad-hoc reports and KPI’s to support the mandate of Diversity & Culture Group
  • Perform analysis on existing data structure & function, provide recommendation and align the work to programs and initiatives owned by Diversity & Culture group
  • Conduct analysis to Identify trends regarding promotions, retention and attrition across the organization
  • Identify additional data sources to support talent management and recruitment efforts,
  • Work with 3rd party vendor, identify data scope, perform data collection and conduct appropriate analysis of Employee Survey results
  • Identify improvement opportunities and manage data & reporting improvement requests


Qualifications and Experience
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in data analytics, business analysis and reporting design & development.
  • Proven experience working with data and databases, including working experience with programming languages and business intelligence tools such as SQL and MicroStrategy, to build data and analytical solutions and create visual insights and dashboards
  • Familiarity and understanding of KPI analysis and performance measurement
  • Demonstrated data analytic skills including proven ability to merge multiple data sources into meaningful information, review incomplete data, problem solve to fill in gaps and provide recommendation for meaningful solutions;
  • Experience with Statistical and Analytical modelling (ML, NLP, AI). Data Science / Analytics certification would be an asset
  • Familiarity with equity, diversity, inclusion and human rights principles and complaint data analysis in public sector environments would be an asset;
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills;
  • Excellent verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills for effectively communication
  • Expert level of proficiency with PCs and applications such as MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint; and proficiency in creating dashboard metrics, report writing and presenting data analysis
  • Well-developed organizational skills, including ability to prioritize a variety of work assignments;
  • Demonstrated the ability to work independently

Education and Certifications

Minimum education required: University Degree or College Diploma
