Job Description

Our client in Concord is seeking 2 internal auditors. Join a growing firm that offers a wonderful culture in Concord Ontario. This is a hybrid role with 2 days per week in the office and 20-30% travel to branches across Ontario.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • The Internal Auditor will be responsible for providing value added services to internal customers throughout the company. Our approach is to offer training and collaborative solutions to improve the success and profitability of each business unit. The team also provides assurance to senior management regarding the control environment and risk assessment of the organization within an entrepreneurial, multi-location environment.
  • Act as a business advisor to a network of Branch and Branch Managers across Ontario
  • Possess strong business judgment and the ability to identify opportunities to improve business processes
  • Assess situations quickly and coming up with a course of action to best meet the needs of the Branch and their teams
  • Perform operational, process and financial reviews of all business units
  • Proactively identify risks and find innovative approaches and solutions to mitigate risks and improve business controls
  • Participate as an advisor in a wide variety of issues including acquisition and divestiture due diligence, fraud investigations, improvement teams, external audits, etc.
  • Review and analyze large amounts of information and draw informative conclusions and recommendations, covering such areas as the internal control environment, cash flow, information security, health and safety, operational effectiveness, efficiency and profitability
  • Be a conduit between the Branch and Noble’s National Support Centre
  • Support through training, communication and project involvement, all on-going changes to company systems and practices initiated by the National Support Centre
  • Write Standard Practice Instructions (company policies manual) and Job Aids to ensure necessary controls are communicated clearly and unnecessary steps are eliminated
  • Have a strong controls mindset, maintain strict confidentiality in all work and the ability to remain objective and independent
  • Participate in special projects as required

Qualifications and Experience
  • Minimum of five (5) years’ work experience in business/accounting/operations, a CIA and/or CPA designation is a plus.
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel at least 30% of the time
  • Exceptional relationship building skills with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong communication skills; ability to convey message in an organized, clear and effective manner
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to gather and analyze information skillfully and develop alternate solutions
  • Must be well organized, be able to multitask, and work well under pressure
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner
  • Demonstrated initiative with the ability to work in a collaborative team-based environment
  • Outstanding interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Self-motivated and have the ability to work independently with strong self-management skills
  • Strong time management skills, with the ability to balance multiple priorities effectively

Education and Certifications

Minimum education required: Bachelor's Degree
