Job Description

Our public-sector client is seeking a full-time, permanent Workforce Planning Advisor to join their growing team!

This role will be responsible for planning, designing, implementing, evaluating and promoting progressive and innovative people and organization development strategies. These strategies will allow the organization to develop and retain a committed, talented and high performing workforce.

Please note: This role can be based in either Vancouver or Victoria and will require occasional travel within BC and other parts of Canada.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Works closely with the Executive and Senior Leadership Team to develop and implement Strategic Workforce Plans, aligned with the corporate Strategic Plan
  • Conducts current workforce analysis, identifies strategically important roles, and leads scenario planning sessions
  • Develops and implements succession plans for positions identified as critical to organization continuity and success
  • Identifies leadership and team development needs and provides input in the design, development and delivery of leadership and management programs
  • Provides oversight to the corporate performance management program and partners with Talent Systems Lead to further enable the use of Workday for performance management purposes

Qualifications and Experience
  • 3+ years of experience in people and organization development, preferably in a unionized environment
  • Experience in the design, development and delivery of corporate program
Nice to have:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in related field of study (Human Resources, Leadership and Training, Organizational Development, Business Administration)
  • Experience within a unionized environment
