Job Description

Our client within the public sector is seeking an Employee Experience Advisor to join their team on a full-time permanent basis.

In this role, your main focus will be organizational engagement, revising cultural framework, incorporating DEI into the organizational values, owning employee surveys and supporting the CEO and executives with people & culture initiatives.

Please note: This role requires some travel within BC and Canada on a project basis. This role can be based in either Vancouver or Victoria.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Work with senior leaders to identify strategic people programs
  • Advise management on workforce planning and succession planning to enhance culture and increase employee engagement
  • Provide presentation to senior executives on strategic people & organizational development programs
  • Develop internal communication strategies and provide reports on best practices to ensure to organization is a leader in people development
  • Design and lead programs to promote a high performing culture and healthy workplace aligned with core values
  • Conduct group sessions to assess current culture & values of the organization and lead key culture building initiatives
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert to the CEO and executive team on employee engagement
  • Guide the evolving employee engagement strategy
  • Manage the entire process for the quarterly Employee Voice Survey
  • Support leaders in understanding employee feedback and developing action plans
  • Implement an onboarding strategy to ensure new employees enter the organization successfully and have the tools required to succeed
  • Develop tools to support employees and managers through the full onboarding life-cycle
  • Develop and facilitate online and in-person employee orientation sessions
  • Incorporate Diversity & Inclusion into current values and transform culture

Qualifications and Experience
  • 4+ years of experience in Organizational development,
  • Must have previous experience transforming culture for an organization
  • Experience in the design and delivery of employee engagement programs
  • Experience running an employee engagement survey
  • Strong HR project management experience
  • Ability to influence and coach leadership
  • Ability to consult and communicate effectively, listen & evaluate employee learning and organizational needs/issues
Nice to have:

  • Experience working in a unionized environment
  • Degree or Masters in Organizational Development or related study considered an asset
  • Coaching designation considered an asset
