Job Description

One of our reputable client is looking for a Web & IT analyst resource to join their team for a 3 month contract which is highly extendable. Web & IT Analyst is responsible for the development, application and advisory of Search Engine Optimization (SEO), website usability, permissions, and information architecture across multiple online platforms. The role will implement IT systems, perform system administration and provide end user support. In addition, The Web and IT analyst will develop guidelines, recommendations, procedures, training and support documentation advising on strategies and best practices.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Provide timely website and administration updates and the creation and upload of website content, publications, and reports.
  • Perform SEO to enhance website, web application and platform by creating and applying metadata, page titles, tags, alternative text, and taxonomies.
  • Test and analyze the application of metadata for web applications to enhance search engine optimization, improve user experience, design, and information architecture.
  • Determine procedures, manage, and monitor the development and implementation of current and emerging search and taxonomy trends application for systems and products.
  • Coordinate the identification of key performance indicators to track the impact of product marketing and promotional initiatives.
  • Work closely with business departments and IT Manager to gather requirements on new IT modernization initiatives, providing an exceptional user experience.
  • Support boardroom audio visual technologies, workstation setup and FOB access.
  • Develop, document and introduce new IT and system procedures, processes, controls, configurations and user guides for staff.

Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Computer Science, Web Development, Management Information Systems, Information Technology, Engineering or related discipline.
  • 3-5 years of demonstrated experience in the maintenance of websites, web applications, SEO and metadata taxonomies using technologies such as HTML, JavaScript, PHP, .Net and CSS, Adobe Dreamweaver or Microsoft Visual Studio.
  • 3-5 years of experience in system administration, user support, networking, virtualization, storage, VPN and server technology.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to write technical and non-technical documentation, briefing notes and business cases.
  • Experience with web content management, AODA, search, and retrieval systems such as Drupal, WordPress, and Siteimprove.
  • Knowledge of administering workflow management tools e.g., Asana, JIRA, MS planner.
  • Experience using and supporting Microsoft 365 platform, Azure, Windows O/S and server, SharePoint solutions and desktop products.
  • Experience in providing technical guidance to users with varying degrees of computer knowledge.
  • Proven experience working independently and in a team environment with a high degree of initiative, attention to detail, responsibility and efficiency.
  • Proven ability to establish priorities and manage competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment while exercising flexibility and sound judgement.
Nice to have:

  • Knowledge of enterprise content management systems such as M-files and SharePoint.
  • Knowledge of enterprise resource planning systems such as Sage, Dynamic Business Central and GP.
  • Knowledge of data visualization tools, analytics and survey tools
  • Bilingualism English/French.
