Systems Administrator - Reliability Clearance

Job Description

One of our clients in the Federal Government is looking for a Systems Administrator for a 1 year contract fully remote.

Roles and Responsibilities

• 2Provide on call support 24/7 on occasion, as part of a regular rotation, or as requested by the TA
• Provide troubleshooting, debugging and incident management support for production applications, in collaboration with DevOps teams and Azure Cloud Enterprise Landing Zone Team;
• Advance infrastructure-as-code and automation with tooling (ARM, Bicep, Terraform) and/or scripting (Python, Bash etc.);
• Provide responsive maintenance by setting up and ensuring automated monitoring of core application functions 24/7;
• Write and build standards and operational requirements for existing and future applications;
• Work to continuously improve operational performance against Service Level Objectives;
• Maintain and advance compliance against existing standards and best practices;
• Provide documentation of all major changes implemented, as required;

Qualifications and Experience

• 3 years (in the last 5) in all of list:
• a) System Administration;
• b) Site Reliability Engineering in an Agile, DevOps environment;
• c) Operations roles;
• d) Hands on application support
• 2 years (in the last 5) with Azure Cloud, Azure App Servers, Containers, Functions, PostgreSQL DB, Azure Dev Ops, Monitoring and Alerting, Networking and Storage
• 2 years (in the last 5) creating and improving on Infrastructure as Code and CD/CD/CO practices in ARM. BICEP or Terra Form AND Bash or Python scripting
• 2 years applying security practices to common threats to both infrastructure and applications

Education and Certifications

Minimum education required: Bachelor's Degree
