Job Description

One of our prestigious client in the residential construction industry is seeking for a well-rounded site superintendent in Toronto to join their team on a full time, permanent basis. Roles and Responsibilities

  • Coordinates work schedules and assigns work to all staff
  • Provides weekly updates and meetings on project status to all staff
  • Ensures all reports, records, timesheets and relevant documentation are submitted on time
  • Approves trade partner invoices for payment
  • Orders construction material from suppliers i.e. steel, wood, windows, trusses
  • Reviews and revises architectural changes and customer extras on drawings and plans
  • Continuously pursues cost effective alternatives to improve financial performance in all areas
  • Accountable for the allowance budgets
  • Supervises, trains and provides direction on all work performed on-site by trade partners, labourers, clerks and foreman
  • Builds, manages, and maintains a high performance team through effective talent recruitment, coaching, and development
  • Other duties within the scope, spirit and purpose of the job, as requested by management

Qualifications and Experience
  • Minimum five to seven (5-7) years in the construction industry
  • Knowledge of the framing trade is an asset
  • High School Diploma is required, a College Diploma is an asset (i.e. architectural, construction management)
Must have:

  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Team spirit
  • Problem Solving skills
Nice to have:

  • Knowledge in MS Office
  • Knowledge of 4D, AutoDesk is an asset
  • Bilingualism is an asset

Education and Certifications

Minimum education required: College Diploma
