Job Description

Our client , a mid size software solutions company, is seeking to add an HR Specialist focused on People & Culture to join their team!

Reporting to the HR Director, you will be focused on people & culture. You will be responsible for various functions of HR, primarily employee engagement/employee experience, HR operations and organizational development.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • First point of contact for employees to manage day-today HR operations, primarily employee relations and advising management on various HR functions
  • Communicate ongoing HR & company initiatives
  • Represent the organization at academic & IT related events to attract top talent
  • Champion employee surveys related to employee engagement, onboarding, exit interviews, training, and other feedback
  • Focus on culture, brand mission and values
  • Assist with compensation reviews
  • Assist with performance and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Partner with payroll to ensure overtime calculations are accurate, administer leaves, contract extensions or any other revisions
  • Assist with high potential employee development
  • Performance management
  • HRIS data integrity
  • Promote the employee recognition program


Qualifications and Experience
  • 5+ years of HR experience, with an emphasis on people & culture
  • Proven experience in employee relations & employee engagement
  • Highly organized and task-oriented
  • Self-starter and autonomous
  • Excellent written and oral interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and cross-functional organization
Nice to have:

  • Previous experience in a technology company an asset
