Job Description

Our client in Toronto is seeking a Recruiter to join their team on a 6 month contract to start (with the potential to become permanent). The successful individual will have 2+ years of full cycle recruitment or campus recruitment experience. The main responsibilities of this role are posting ads, screening resumes, conducting phone and supporting in the recruitment of regular and campus roles.

This is a hybrid role, with the team currently coming in the office 1 day a week and working from home 4 days a week.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Actively source and develop a network of talent and professional candidates
  • Partner with leaders across the organization to understand their hiring objectives and develop recruiting tactics to reach company's goals
  • Acquire a thorough understanding of job requisition for required competencies and skills
  • Develop job postings and advertising opportunities on online job boards
  • Support with the full cycle recruitment process; which includes screening/sourcing, interviewing, and conducting reference checks
  • Maintain and track all recruitment activities through the company’s applicant tracking system
  • Perform all other duties as assigned


Qualifications and Experience
  • 2-3 years of recruitment experience, ideally with some experience in a high volume environment
  • Campus experience is preferred (and/or call center or high volume of entry level roles)
  • Undergraduate degree in a related field is preferred (Human Resources and/or Business) with a passion for recruiting
  • Experience sourcing candidates
  • Excellent organizational skills and communication
  • Able to work successfully in a deadline driven environment
  • Ability to prioritize tasks in a successful manner
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment

Education and Certifications

Minimum education required: University Degree or College Diploma
