Senior Front-End Developer (Web Development Specialist)

Job Description

Our client in the public sector is seeking a Senior Front-End Developer (Web Development Specialist) for a 6 month contract to start with the possibility of extension. The incumbent must work according to a hybrid work structure.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Develop Front-End applications for Revenue Services Division, using HTML5, Javascript, CSS, and APIs
• Contribute to overall solution Architecture documentation, including information for integrating with various applications that is involved as part of the solution.
• Build AODA Compliance Front-End Application using City’s Frameworks and technologies (HTNL3, CSS, Javascript, JQuery, Backbone, REST APIs, and JSON Objects).

Qualifications and Experience

• 5+ years of experience in software development for large-scale or enterprise wide application development projects including recent AWS cloud experience.
• 5+ years of Modern front-end Development experience (HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery, Angular, AJAX, Bootstrap (understanding Bootstrap is less than 5 years old).
• Experienced with WCAG 2.0 (W3C Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.0) and in the design of accessible websites across a range of technologies and type of devices (e.g. desktop, mobile).

Minimum education required: Bachelor's Degree
