Accounts Payable Specialist

Our client is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join their growing team The ideal candidate will have at least 2-3 years' experience in full cycle accounts payable, have a proactive and go getter approach to their work and thrive in a team environment.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Full cycle accounts payable.
• Batch, code, obtain approval, and prepared payment and filing of all A/P invoices.
• Experience with month-end procedures is a must.
• Set up new A/P vendors and maintain A/P vendor database.
• Monitor A/P aging and ensure accounts are updated and current.
• Review, document and follow through with all A/P discrepancies.
• Validate vendors' statement of account.
• Select, batch and prepare electronic payment batches.
• Communicate with team members on a daily basis to obtain required invoice approvals.

• At least 3 years' experience in full cycle accounts payable roles.
• Education in Finance and Accounting
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Advanced experience in MS Excel and proficiency in Vlookup and Pivot tables
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
