Shipping and Receiving Supervisor

Job Description

Our client in the manufacturing company is seeking a Shipping and Receiving Supervisor to join their team ASAP. The ideal candidate must be available to work ON-SITE in Mississauga/Brampton area.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Responsible for labour in the Shipping Receiving Department
• Coordinate activities of workers responsible for shipping and receiving products
• Determine work procedures, prepare work schedules, and expedite workflow
• Analyze shipment log and review timelines of deliveries, combine shipments to save the cost and optimize workflow
• Ensure that all forklift equipment are properly maintained
• Monitor and track expenses related to shipping cost, fuel, trucks and storage maintenance
• Schedule starting time for all employees in the department to manage the working hours as per the budget
• Responsible for overall logistics for the firm

Qualifications and Experience

• Three years of shipping experience
• Be a self starter and be able to work independently to meet the objectives of this assignment;
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
• Excellent interpersonal skills;
• Excellent customer service and administrative skills;
• Excellent organizational skills to establish work priorities in a timely fashion;

Education and Certifications

Minimum education required: College Diploma
