Roles and Responsibilities

  • Provides expert pay and benefit services and performs day to day pay transactions for incoming and outgoing clients on a wide variety of compensation issues
  • ensure compliance and accuracy of pay and benefits rules, regulations and calculations
  • Completes diverse accounting functions in human resources and pay administration, including employment insurance earnings calculation, leave without pay deficiencies, pension contributions and refunds
  • Conducts research and analysis in subjects of employee data, regulations, collective agreements, pension and insurance plans, federal and provincial legislation
  • Supports the transition of new team members providing oversight over daily activities, engaging Team Leader as necessary
  • Validates and/or investigates and resolves pay related issues arising from the pay system, researches corrective procedures and applies measures to the HR system and Phoenix

Qualifications and Experience
Must have:

  • Post-secondary diploma in a related field (i.e. Human Resources, Finance, Administration) or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience in pay administration.
Nice to have:

  • Canadian Payroll Association Certification as an asset.
  • Bilingualism is an asset

Education and Certifications

Minimum education required: Bachelor's Degree
