Finishing Site Superintendent Mid-Rise Residential (Grimsby ON)

Job Description

Our Client, an extremely reputable company, who is a leader in residential, high-rise builds, is looking for a Finishing Superintendent to work in the Niagara Region.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Supervise the construction project and operations on-site.
• Ensure that the quality of work and materials are upheld to the Upholding Quality Assurance and Quality Control standards.
• Assist in ensuring interior finishes are completed in compliance with the construction schedule, control budget and contract documents
• Organize and supervise the productivity of employees on the job site (including trades, contractors, and site staff) required to construct the project in accordance with the contracts, plans and specifications.
• Ensure the budget is followed, working with the Project Manager in managing all Division 1 costs.
• Create, monitor and update project schedules, and ensure the schedule and look ahead schedules are followed, providing updates to the Project Manager and Senior Management as required.
• Ensure that the health and safety plans and MOL requirements are implemented and followed.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum 4 years of experience as a Site Superintendent working in new-build construction specifically mid-rise residential projects
• Construction Management certificate/diploma or Trade Qualification is considered an asset
• Demonstrated success in working on high-end finishing’s
• Demonstrated understanding of construction terms, scheduling, and planning concepts
• Ability to handle high-pressure situations and stay composed while working under pressure, leading by example and maintaining a high standard of professionalism
• Proficiency with construction drawings, Microsoft Office, Procore and strong writing & communication skills
• Demonstrated skills with planning, organization and the ability to multitask, as well as leadership and supervisory skills
• Customer service experience and the ability to problem solve in an effective manner
• Valid Driver’s License
