Job Description

Our client, a reputable international association in the construction sector, is seeking a Regional Manager, Business Development to manage, build, and grow the growth of the organization in the GTA. In this unique role, you will be responsible for developing key stakeholder relations, corporate partnerships, and increasing membership through authentic relationship building.

This is a permanent, full-time role offering to Work From Home Full-time and will have travel involved, likely every 3 months. The successful candidate must be able to legally travel within Canada, U.S, and the U.K.

The successful candidate has great judgement, maturity, and business acumen, and is adept at building and managing relationships. They work well independently, are strategic and think long-term.

Bonus points if you are passionate about architecture, construction, and sustainability!

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Collaborating with team and cross-functionally with International departments
  • Planning and executing strategic business plan for GTA region including budgets
  • Proactively building and managing relationships with key industries and organizations
  • Managing partnership agreements, creating detailed action plans with clear objectives and deliverables
  • Representing the organization in networking, conferences and exhibitions
  • Generating leads from local activities and events, increasing local membership
  • Understanding community needs, trends, competition, challenges
  • Marketing of membership through events, activities, promotions and campaigns
  • Regular financial and legal reporting
  • Supporting member working groups on events and campaigns
  • Supporting ad-hoc projects

Qualifications and Experience
  • Strategic, long-term planning mindset
  • Ability to communicate effectively with wide audiences
  • Good judgement, maturity
  • Ability to network, create new partnerships
  • Excellent problem solving skills
Must have:

  • 5 years minimum of experience in Business Development or a similar role with a focus on Relationship Management
  • Ability to work independently
Nice to have:

  • Experience with membership-based associations
  • Leadership experience
  • Experience organizing events
