Job Description

Our client, a manufacturing facility in Brampton, is adding a Warehouse Manager to their team!

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Ensures logistics efficiency by managing productivity, shipment rates, FG inventory accuracy and quality of shipped goods.
  • Manage timely processing of shipments to customers through coordination with manufacturing, production planners, customer service and 3PL
  • Responsible for supporting the Logistics portion of supply chain Pillar in a WCM environment.
  • Drives high levels of inventory accuracy in WMS and SAP.
  • Manage safety supervision, training and development of logistics personnel.
  • Manage safety and housekeeping for the logistics area and drives process improvements.
  • Manage the reception, handling, distribution, and storage of all products and materials
  • Ensure the execution and accuracy of inventory counts.
  • Communicate all delays or variances in outbound freight to the appropriate parties.
  • Plan warehouse layout and space requirements in order to prevent loss or damage, and to achieve full warehouse optimization.
  • Support cross-functional supply chain initiatives and utilizes continuous improvement methodologies with the team to improve performance across safety, service, quality and costs.
  • Manage an annual budget
  • Manage 5s activities
  • Maintain performance metrics and report on regular basis to senior management.
  • Assess the need for, and arrange the purchase of, moving equipment
  • Manage a team of supervisors and associates, including hiring, delegation, training, performance evaluation, coaching, disciplinary actions, and termination.
  • Adhere to and promote the adherence to all Corporate, Quality and Health and Safety policies and procedures.


Qualifications and Experience
Must have:

  • High School Diploma required
  • 5 years of logistics, shipping or distribution management experience
  • Minimum of 1 year SAP (or other appropriate ERP system) experience.
  • Microsoft Excel, Word and Power Point experience.
  • Experience working with WMS system in process improvement / development role.
Nice to have:

  • Knowledge of LEAN continuous improvement manufacturing.
  • Bachelor’s degree in operations or technical field preferred
