Job Description

Our client within the Non-Profit industry is seeking an HR Coordinator to join their team! This is a great opportunity to join a fast-paced environment, with an extremely supportive leader. This individual will be responsible for supporting talent acquisition and employee onboarding, maintaining the HRIS system, and working on various HR projects.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 2 years' HR Coordination experience, a self-starter attitude and experience working on various aspects of HR. This is a remote position for now, but expectations are that the individual will work hybrid in the future.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Key support for the recruitment process of all employees, including job descriptions, advertisements, screening, and interview scheduling
  • Conduct background checks
  • Implement an effective and responsive orientation process for all new staff
  • Maintain all personnel files in a secure and confidential manner
  • Manage the human resource information system, tracking and notification of absences or changes
  • Support managers to conduct timely performance evaluations through tracking, and assist them in developing and monitoring performance improvement plans
  • Act as the first point of contact for all employee inquiries
  • Participate in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Experience
  • University Degree or College Diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field
  • Minimum 2 years of HR Coordinator experience
  • Works independently and within a team environment, with a focus on quality, accuracy and deadline compliance
  • Strong experience with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to succeed within a fast paced, and high volume environment, with changing deadlines and priorities

Education and Certifications

Minimum education required: University Degree or College Diploma
