Job Description

One of our client is looking for an IT Specialist to join their IT team in Toronto. Reporting to the Director of Information Technology, your role will include being part of the application lifecycle process, administration and resolution of requests and problem management processes to facilitate the day-to-day IT support function.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Assist in the day-to-day administration of IT infrastructure including Active Directory, servers, print services, cloud, and messaging systems
  • Coordinate and collaborate with local and global IT teams to ensure availability, reliability, and scalability of IT services to meet business demands
  • Assist in the timely resolution of incidents and problems, and document changes in ITSM system
  • Monitor and resolve end user support issues;
  • Contribute to the development and administration of problem management and knowledge management processes, following ITIL best practices
  • Facilitate and administer the event management process
  • The creation and upkeep of accurate documentation to assist in efficient running of the support function
  • Contribute to day-to-day running of application testing and deployment
  • Assist in the administration of centralized licenses and upkeep of license servers
  • Assist in completion of projects, as required
  • Monitor and escalate issues identified by network monitoring tool(s).

Qualifications and Experience
  • Successful completion of a related university degree or equivalent education/experience;
  • Must have one to three years of system administration experience, preferably in a design studio;
  • Good knowledge of Dell/EMC storage/network technology;
  • Excellent knowledge of LAN/WAN;
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Windows Servers;
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft 365 Administration;
  • Good knowledge of Cybersecurity;
  • Outstanding communication and customer services skills are essential;
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills;
  • CCNA, ITIL, and related Microsoft certifications are desired, but not essential;
  • Must be able to prioritize and work under minimal supervision.
