Job Description

Our client in the Consumer Food/Retail industry is seeking a Database Administrator to join them downtown Toronto in January 2022. This is a hybrid role (3 to 4 days on site, 1 to 2 days from home) and is great for someone junior entering into this kind of role. The ideal candidate will have ~1 years' experience, enjoy manipulating data, and have very strong Excel skills.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for ensuring organization Master Data contains an updated and accurate list of accounts Sales Representatives will visit
  • Partner with Account Teams to obtain detailed store lists and performance data to maintain Master Data
  • Responsible for operation of Geographical Information Software to assign accounts to Sales Representatives and plan mileage and time efficient routes
  • Partner with District Managers to execute territory and route changes on a monthly basis
  • Provide second-level support to Sales Representatives and District Managers to ensure business continuity in the field
  • Manage deployment of field-technology to newly hired Sales Representatives either centrally or remotely
  • Partner with local and global IT to provide detailed troubleshooting and resolutions to various issues
  • Partner with various stakeholders including Customer Marketing Managers, Customer Business Mangers and Sales Directors to understand data gathering requirements, timelines and reporting objectives
  • Aid the creation of copy for Sales Representative facing surveys, applying sound survey design methodology and minimizing response bias
  • Prepare actionable intelligence reporting by retrieving data from Business Intelligence, creating easily understood reporting and presenting findings to stakeholders
  • Aid data integrity validation through the design-create-reporting process

Must have:

  • Intermediate to advance knowledge of MS Excel, including functions (VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, Pivot Tables), PowerPoint, Word, Outlook
  • Skill in formulating go-to-market execution compliance tracking
  • Strong understanding of Canadian retail landscape, corporate ownership structures, banners and regional variances
  • Knowledge of retailer financial and inventory management policies and terminology
  • Able to abide by the organizations COVID-19 Vaccination policy
Nice to have:

  • Knowledge of SAP CRM & BI is an asset

Education and Certifications

Minimum education required: Bachelor's Degree
