Job Description

Our newly established client is looking for an HR Generalist who is eager and excited about contributing to the growth and success of a company. The HR Generalist will be reporting and working in conjunction with the Director of HR. The incumbent is initially be responsible for HR administration and coordination (e.g. recruitment, payroll, onboarding, benefits, daily Q&A, appraisal processes), and will quickly accelerate into the HR Generalist role including training, health and safety, coaching and discipline, policy and organizational design.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Leads the implementation, monitoring, evaluation and development of the company’s human resources strategies and procedures
  • Coordinating full recruitment cycle and assisting with onboarding processess
  • Handling any Employee Relations issues that may arise
  • Talent development
  • Responsible for any HR administrative projects and programs.
  • Ensures company compliance with applicable laws, regulations, rules, and employment standards
  • Partners with management in communicating fair, compliant and consistent practices within all company policies, procedures, laws, standards and governmental regulations
  • Ownership of full cycle recruitment and selection process for both salaried and hourly openings, including internal transfers and promotions
  • Manages employee benefit, group retirement savings and disability management plans
  • Conducts new hire orientation and on-boarding and termination activities
  • Maintains HR analytics and produces reports to assist in people-power management and aid in business decision making
  • Interprets policies and collective bargaining agreements, and responds to general employee inquiries
  • Addresses and resolves any employee concerns or issues; conducts investigations as required


Qualifications and Experience
  • University degree or college diploma in a HR field is preferred
  • 3 to 5 years of experience relative to HR
  • CHRL preferred
  • Previous experience using HRIS
  • Demonstrated experience with advising, coaching and training management and employees
