Job Description

Our client in the Retail Industry is seeking to add an HR Manager to their team in Toronto! This is a permanent position that requires the successful candidate to travel to store locations in Ontario.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Act as the main point of contact for all HR inquiries from employees and management
  • Investigate and resolve employee relations issues
  • Work closely with Managers on the performance management process and any improvements that may be required
  • Provide coaching and advice on career development, succession planning, compensation and performance management
  • Provide support to Hiring Managers with recruitment needs
  • Conduct exit interviews as needed
  • Lead the employee pulse survey and implement action plans
  • Ensure all policies and procedures are being adhered to
  • Conduct and lead investigations regarding violations to company standards of conduct
  • Identify and manage training/ orientation needs of the market such as leadership, management development
  • Compile HR reports to communicate data, support decision-making and identify trends

Qualifications and Experience
  • University Degree or College Diploma in Human Resources or related field
  • Minimum 5+ years' generalist experience, including broad knowledge and experience in employment law, performance management, organizational development, employee relations, health and safety, and training and development
  • Strong knowledge of HR best practices, Labour Laws, and employment equity regulations
  • Ability to travel to different retail locations in Ontario

Education and Certifications

Minimum education required: University Degree or College Diploma
