Job Description

Our client within the IT Industry is seeking to add a Human Resources Manager to their growing team! This is a permanent position, that is offering work from home current but will transition into a hybrid role in early 2022.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years' progressive HR experience (in a generalist capacity), strong knowledge in building out HR best practices, policies and procedures, as well as have/have the ability to obtain a Top Secret Security Clearance.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Create, update and implement HR policies and procedures
  • Responsible for full cycle recruitment and onboarding activities
  • Act as the primary point of contact and provide support on day-to-day HR responsibilities
  • Managing the performance review process and assist in wage reviews (staying on top of market trends)
  • Oversee monthly contracting administration tasks (timesheets, reporting, tracking and compliance)
  • Develop and maintain a Succession Planning Model for employees
  • Oversee RFP responses (grids, resumes, etc.)
  • ACSO duties (initiate and manage security screening requests, conduct background checks, record keeping and compliance)


Qualifications and Experience
  • University Degree or College Diploma in Human Resources or related field
  • Minimum 5 years’ progressive experience in Human Resource within a Generalist capacity
  • Experience within an IT, Computer Software, or Start-Up industry is a strong asset
  • Experience recruiting for IT positions is a strong asset
  • Proven ability to partner with a variety of stakeholders at all levels of the organization, building credibility as a role model and subject matter expert
  • Prior experience building out the HR function is a strong asset
  • Able to motivate people and foster a positive work environment
  • Top Secret Security Clearance or the ability to obtain it is a MUST
