Job Description

Our higher education client is seeking a Program Manager focused in Equity, Diversity and Inclusion to join their growing team. The ideal candidate will have experience overseeing various employment equity programs, collecting, analyzing and reporting on employment equity data and programs, facilitating various educational opportunities across the organization and engaging in strategic planning and implementation of key initiatives.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Provides in depth advisory, coaching and consultation expertise to the organization on integration of equity, diversity and inclusion policies and practices.
  • Gathers and analyzes data related to workforce demographics and representation. Writes reports for external and internal use.
  • Develop and deliver presentations to present the results of analysis and supporting recommendations, and to summarize annual reports.
  • Develop strategies for targeted talent sourcing & acquisition.
  • Develop curriculum, learning materials, and facilitate learning and training sessions on bias, equity, diversity and inclusion, and related university policy.
  • Monitor and evaluate employment systems to ensure the principles of equity, diversity and inclusion are incorporated in all aspects of the employment life cycle.
  • Organize meetings for various committees.


Qualifications and Experience
  • 3 - 5 years of experience in a similar position. Demonstrated experience overseeing an EDI function, ideally with hands-on, in-depth experience with all aspects of federal government compliance.
  • University Bachelor Degree in Social Sciences, Human Resources Management, or other relevant program of study
  • Demonstrated experience with equity data collection and analysis
  • Ability to work independently with minimal guidance and/or supervision
  • Strong analytical and descriptive statistical skills
  • Facilitation, negotiating and mediation skills
