Job Description

We are currently seeking a Director, Demand Planning for our manufacturing client located in Markham. In this position you will be managing end to end planning function including demand and forecasting, organization wide S&OP processes, and performance tracking.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years experience in supply chain (planning) with minimum 2 years in a leadership position within the food, pharmaceutical, or cosmetics space and will have a thorough understanding of S&OP/IBP.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Provides overall leadership and insight in the management of demand forecasting
  • Provide leadership and expertise to the team, including short-term and long-term objective setting, recruiting and developing talent, providing regular performance feedback, reviews and coaching;
  • Strategically partner and maintain cross-functional relationships with Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Finance
  • Lead, develop and implement action plans to drive demand planning excellence by improving sales forecast accuracy, coordination of supply chain departments; benchmarking and adoption of best practices
  • Lead and drive continuous improvement of the S&OP process driving collaboration between, Sales, Marketing, Operations and Finance
  • Develop improved performance measurement and reporting to ensure key metrics are achieved
  • Analyze forecast variation versus market performance; identify trends, risks and opportunities; implications upon supply and service engaging key stakeholders accordingly
  • Identify, analyze and coordinate demand issues based on plan and collaborate with Sales to develop solutions to supply constraints;


Qualifications and Experience
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Supply chain (planning) with at least 2 years in a leadership role; with thorough understanding of S&OP/IBP
  • Manage well under pressure. Able to lead teams during periods of significant organizational and business change
  • Collaborative team player with superior influencing skills, who builds relationships easily across various stakeholder groups to move initiatives forward
  • University Degree education in Business or related field;
