Job Description

We are currently recruiting for a Program Officer opportunity with our client, a large Healthcare organization in Downtown Toronto. This opportunity is a full-time, 12 month contract, with a high expectation of extension to 24 months or becoming permanent. The team is currently working remotely and may move towards a hybrid model in the new year, and as such candidates will ideally be located in the GTA.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Manage tracking and monitoring of progress towards milestone and deliverables.
  • Support project reporting and communications to various key stakeholders including development of progress and activity reports.
  • Prepare communication and meeting materials including agendas, minutes, briefing notes, slide decks, reports, tracking action items, etc.
  • Assist with developing both quantitative and qualitative metrics and materials for program evaluation.
  • Create and manage database to track metrics.
  • Maintain budget and expense tracking / reporting and processing of honoraria.
  • Facilitate development of cost recovery models for various clinical and research services.
  • Develop and manage processes including service level agreements as required to support implementation of cost recovery models.
  • Conduct environmental scans on assigned topics.
  • Support planning of workshops, meetings, and other events.
  • Maintaining an in-depth knowledge of projects under his/her portfolio, and relevant internal processes and policies.
  • Assist with additional administrative tasks as required.

Qualifications and Experience
  • Possess a Masters level degree in a health-related field, and a Bachelor degree in neuroscience, health informatics, biomedical engineering or relevant field.
  • Minimum two (2) years demonstrated progressive and relevant experience in large scale research/informatics projects with increasing scope and complexity.
  • Experienced in Agile frameworks and methodologies (e.g. scrum).
  • Experienced in managing projects and developing project documentation.
  • The candidate will have project management, coordination or analyst experience ideally with large scale data initiatives.
  • Experience with health care and research processes including measurement-based care, clinical decision support, ethics, study design, data management and sharing, grant submissions and reporting, metrics and evaluation preferred.
  • Experience in developing internal and external communications including newsletters, project reports, presentations, videos, etc. is an asset.
  • Ability to communicate and problem-solve with a diverse variety of stakeholders who may have conflicting interests and priorities.
  • Advanced-user knowledge of Office applications.
  • Experience working with diverse stakeholders and clients.
  • Experience in working in health care/academic environment preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Bilingualism (French/English) and/or proficiency in a second language would be an asset.

Minimum education required: Master's Degree
