Job Description

Our client is a non profit that applies industry best practices to support their membership. This is a new role, fully remote in Canada. The culture is warm, collegial, collaborative and team focused.

As the Manager, Knowledge Management, you would be accountable for the development and upkeep of our client’s knowledge management framework, with the goal of sharing data, knowledge, and ideas and ensuring that this is all obtainable in the right place at the right time to allow informed decision making and to improve effectiveness. In addition, you would be managing the Quality Assurance team, and reporting on audit outcomes for the Grievance Handling teams.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Create and preserve a knowledge management framework
  • Endorse knowledge capture and reuse through operational and business procedures
  • Capture and distill knowledge and awareness for reuse to improve performance
  • Assist with Knowledge Management strategic planning
  • Facilitate knowledge transfer meetings
  • Plan, create, support, and endorse collaborative tools and methods such as communities of practice to facilitate sharing of ideas and effort among internal teams and external partners
  • Manage a team of Quality Auditors, accountable for conducting quality assessments for complaint handling team members as well as quality control of the complaint cataloguing system.
  • Provide leadership and direction, including training, mentoring and tutoring to Quality Auditors, ensure appropriate audit/assessment approaches and methods are being used
  • In conjunction with HR, action current HR issues such as attendance and performance affecting the team
  • Report on audit results recurrently to various stakeholders


Qualifications and Experience
  • You have post-secondary education in information science, library or computer sciences and at a minimum of three years of relevant experience in knowledge management with an established track record of increased accountability
  • You offer superior organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • You have excellent system thinking, systematic and problem-solving skills.
  • You have proven practice using knowledge management systems
  • You have the ability to appraise and administer, as relevant, knowledge management technologies
  • You have demonstrated ability to create/design new systems and/or methods in the knowledge management area
  • You are able to work independently, flexibly and responsively
  • You are able to rank to meet targets and acclimatize to changing conditions
  • You offer excellent written and verbal communication and personal skills
  • You are comfortable leading a team and have a strong ability to inspire staff members
  • You have advanced to expert knowledge and practice with the Microsoft Office suite – particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint, as well as Outlook.
  • French/English bilingualism is an asset
