Job Description

We are seeking a Compliance Manager for our transportation client on a fulltime permanent basis.

In this position you will be providing leadership, guidance, documentation, and advice to various stakeholders to ensure compliance to regulatory standards through training and education.

The ideal candidate will have compliance experience within the transportation industry, specifically compliance with Ministry of Transportation and Transportation of Dangerous Goods.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Oversee compliance operations ensuring regulatory compliance of Ministry of Transportation and Transportation of Dangerous Goods
  • Develop, review, modify, or implement compliance policy to ensure compliance with changing laws and regulations
  • Ensure departments meet compliance requirements through training materials, communication tools, and the on going review of policies
  • File appropriate compliance reports with regulatory agencies
  • Advise various business units on the implementation or operation of compliance programs
  • Interpret the impact of new regulations
  • Maintain required licenses, permits, and registrations
  • Establish a high level and self auditing and compliance monitoring programs


Qualifications and Experience
  • Minimum 2+ years experience in compliance within the transportation space
  • Minimum 2+ years experience ensuring compliance with Transportation of Dangerous Goods and Ministry of Transportation
  • Great communications skills both verbal and written
  • Ability to travel within Canada 30%
