Job Description

Our client, a large multi-national organization in the telecommunications industry is looking for a full bilingual (French/English) Manager of Credit and Collections to join their team! This role offers great benefits, bonus, and opportunities for growth!

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Lead / assist continuous improvement activities relating to collections that drive improved timeliness, accuracy, compliance and discipline that will contribute to the goals and objectives of the department
  • Support team with conflict resolution on aging accounts and help formulate collection strategies
  • Assist with establishing targets for key metrics and effectively supporting the team to meet or exceed monthly DSO, Accounts Receivable and Cash targets
  • Oversee payment processing and cash applications related to selected biller
  • Develop business relationships with internal customers to secure their support in minimizing risk while achieving sales growth targets
  • Develop business relationships with major external customers to facilitate dispute resolution
  • Recommend to Senior Management acceptable payment agreements with major accounts to return them to a current status
  • Monitoring collections performance according to quality and productivity standards by completing monthly trending analysis of collection services
  • Ensure collection policies are adhered to and updated accordingly in order to mitigate financial risk
  • Oversee credit adjudication process
  • Develop, manage, motivate and coach staff to fulfill departmental performance goals while also encouraging employee growth and engagement
  • Participate and assist in the delivery of various Accounts Receivable initiatives as required

Qualifications and Experience
  • 5+ years experience working in a collections environment managing a group of 10+ employees
  • Effective communication skills (written, verbal and presentation skills) and ability to influence stakeholders
  • “Change agent” with vision and execution expertise who can challenge the status quo
  • Advanced Knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel and Powerpoint
  • Experience working in a large corporation (telecommunications considered a strong asset)
