Job Description

Our client within the manufacturing industry, is seeking to add an HR Manager to their team in Abbotsford, BC. We are open to applicants all across Canada who are looking for new opportunities and willing to relocate.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 6 years' Human Resources experience within a leadership capacity, experience with succession planning, developing strong teams, and strategic hiring.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects related to recruiting and onboarding
  • Lead performance management with a focus on employee development
  • Manage employee and labour relations
  • Develop and manage programs to address employee attendance management, performance, and absences
  • Coach, guide and mentor Supervisory staff

Qualifications and Experience
  • University Degree or College Diploma in Human Resources or similar field
  • Experience within the Manufacturing, Warehousing, or Distribution industry a strong asset
  • Minimum 6 years' Human Resources experience within a leadership capacity
  • Sound knowledge of Canadian legislation and organizational practices to develop appropriate/proactive HR interventions
  • CHRP/CHRL Designation is an asset
  • Experience handling labour relations (contract negotiations, grievances, arbitrations) is a strong asset

Education and Certifications

Minimum education required: University Degree or College Diploma
