Job Description

Our client is a leader in the Financial industry and one of Canada's largest private investment firms. We are seeking Recruiter to join their team in Vancouver & Toronto!

This is a fully benefited permanent role with RRSP matching after 1 year of successful employment and has a very competitive salary with bonus. Opportunity for growth into a generalist role and a leadership role.

This role will begin as a Work From Home opportunity, but will eventually convert to a Hybrid Model of 3 days on site, 2 days at home. The working hours are Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm with flexibility on start/end times. Enjoy social events, study days, and support for learning and development.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Head of HR and the team in talent management projects
  • Manage the employment efforts by partnering with hiring managers in order to locate the best, most qualified candidates to join the organization
  • Plan effective recruitment strategies that ensure applicants are sourced and assessed objectively
  • Partner with the team to continuously optimize HR procedures and drive enhancements in employee experience and culture
  • Create effective employee relationships at all levels across the firm
  • Organize the workflow for all employee changes (i.e., new staff, exits, internal transfers)
  • Grow knowledge of broadminded HR practices and trends to enhance organizational efficiency
  • Conducting recruiting for corporate professional roles

Qualifications and Experience
Must have:

  • 2+ years of Recruitment experience
  • Experience doing Boolean searches
  • Experience with specialized, corporate recruitment (hiring financial professionals and corporate staff)
  • An adaptable working style
  • A team player attitude
  • Experience using LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, Workopolis, Monster or other similar job boards
Nice to have:

  • Experience in Financial industry
  • Experience working with senior management
  • CPHR/CHRP designation or CPHR/CHRP Candidate or post-secondary Human Resources completed education

Education and Certifications

Minimum education required: College Diploma
