Job Description

Our Client, an third-party insurance company is looking for TWO REMOTE SENIOR CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVES to permanently join their Toronto Team! Reporting into the Manager of Employee Services, these individuals will join the Pension Department to provide highly detailed financial administrative services for employers.

In the future, this role will be HYBRID to potentially full-time back in office. All applicants must be able to commute to Etobicoke. The core hours of operation are from Monday to Friday 8:30am-5pm and on occasion overtime will be required.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Address reporting issues to participating employers and deliver follow-up calls on any investigations as required.
  • Deliver accounts receivable and correspondences to employers and prepare reports as needed.
  • Communicate on any discrepancies and findings within the analysis.
  • Provide a detailed understanding and deliverance of applicable plan documentation.
  • Execute peer review of Accounts Receivable correspondence.
  • Develop relationships and communicate effectively to participating employers, service organizations, local unions and regional offices.
  • Other administrative duties as required from time to time.


Qualifications and Experience
  • Must have Accounts Receivable Experience (A/R) and General Accounting Experience.
  • Strong overall financial acumen, aptitude for figures and understanding of accounting concepts.
  • Intermediate to advanced level of Excel (i.e. Pivot Tables, V-Look Ups) and asset if worked with Macros.
  • Advanced level of Microsoft Word.
  • Strong Communication skills both written and verbal with the ability to de-escalate stressful situations.
  • Experience with database management systems
  • Ability to work overtime on an as needed basis.
  • Curiosity to continue to learn and become involved with continuous education as required.
  • Experience working in a unionized environment and pension experience is considered an asset.
  • Bilingualism is an asset.
