Job Description

Our client, a very reputable regulatory association, is seeking a Human Resources Administrator for their head office, downtown Toronto. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Talent Acquisition and HR, the Receptionist will be responsible for general office administration and for creating positive first impressions for internal employees.

This role will also handle human resources administration.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Act as the first point of contact for internal employees
  • Assist with event planning and vendor management
  • Responsible for receiving and sending couriered packages and reconciling monthly invoices
  • Sort and distribute mail to appropriate mailboxes
  • Assist with coordinating meetings, scheduling, training, program management
  • Edit job postings and post externally and internally
  • Initiate and coordinate onboarding tasks including Personnel Announcements and managing Pension Enrollment Administration
  • Assist with reference checks for new employees, as required
  • Track and maintain recruitment data for various reports
  • Assist with ad hoc human resources projects as assigned by the Talent Acquisition team

Qualifications and Experience
Must have:

  • College Diploma and/or relevant education
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Advanced interpersonal and communication skills
  • Self-starter who works well in a team
  • Proven ability to handle and prioritize a variety of activities while ensuring items are tracked, monitored, and followed-up on in a timely manner
  • Demonstrated proactive problem solving skills
Nice to have:

  • Experience with an HRIS system is an asset
