Job Description

Our client, an Engineering Consulting Firm is seeking a Structural Engineer to join their team on a full-time basis. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 5-67years experience working in a construction environment focusing on the design of a steel and concrete buildings in their entirety.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Provide structural analysis, design and design related services.
  • Work with draftspersons and other designers and provide and coordinate sketch designs.
  • Oversee design and drafting staff, offer feedback and mentor individuals to ensure that they are completing all task in a timely matter.
  • Communicating with external consultants and engineering resources.
  • Offer input on shop drawings and, provide modifications when needed.
  • Provide guidance to Junior engineers and Technicians on projects.
  • Evaluate changes to design and material codes/standards.
  • Investigation and field review services for projects.
  • Provide superb client service delivery on projects.
  • Perform the analysis and design of structural elements of a variety of materials including: concrete, steel, masonry, light-gage metal, wood, and pre-cast.

Qualifications and Experience
Must have:

  • At least 5-6 years experience in structural design engineering and management of full buildings.
  • Undergraduate Degree/Diploma in Civil Engineering, Applied Sciences, or equivalent.
  • Licensed Engineer under the Terms of the PEO.
  • Excellent knowledge and experience of ETABS, SCONC, SP SLAB, and SAFE
  • Must be experienced in structural engineering design and analysis software

Minimum education required: College Diploma
