Job Description

Seeking a receptionist for our client in the hospitality and travel industry located in Ottawa. This is a six (4) month contract with the possibility of an extension. The prospective will work an average of 40 hours a week.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Take guests bookings and reservations over the phone and on the organizations booking system.
  • Co-ordination and monitoring of the activities in the maintenance, facility and house keeping department.
  • Displays high level of professionalism in all interactions with organizations guests and in overall job performance.
  • Ensure high standards for guests satisfaction throughout the various stages of the guests interaction - prompt responses to requests, inquiries, efficient reservation booking/ arrival, billing our clients and departure.
  • Other Administrative functions will include answering general questions from guests, responding to emails and phone calls and directing correspondence.

Qualifications and Experience
Must have:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work amicably as a team
  • Knowledge of areas and places of interest in and around Ottawa and downtown.
  • Ability to work under pressure, multi task and make use of discretion.
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills.
Nice to have:

  • Fluency in English.
  • Hospitality and travel industry experience
  • College diploma
  • Previous receptionist/administrative assistant experience (1 year preferred)

Education and Certifications

Minimum education required: High School Diploma
