Job Description

Our client, who specializes in high rise residential builds, is looking for a permanent Senior Site Superintendent to join their team. The ideal candidate will be a self starter that takes pride in delivering results and will have 10+ years of progressive experience in construction with 3-5 years experience as a Senior Site Superintendent.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Supervise site operations and all aspects of the construction project
  • Uphold Quality Assurance/Quality Control standards
  • Supervise trades, contractors and site staff and ensure they are performing up to standards
  • Track daily manpower on site and order materials as required
  • Ensure the budget is followed and work alongside the Project Manager in managing all costs
  • Create and monitor project schedules, ensure schedules are followed, and provide updates to the Project Manager/Senior Management as required
  • Inspect the performance and safety measures of the trades and contractors, ensuring MOL requirements are followed
  • Liaise with government inspectors on the standard requirements of the construction site
  • Ensure the site office and construction documents are organized


Qualifications and Experience
  • 10+ years experience in construction as a Site Superintendent
  • Must have previous experience completing the full-cycle of mixed-use/high rise construction projects
  • Strong knowledge of building large scale residential construction projects
  • Post-secondary education in Business, Civil Engineering or Construction Management or equivalent (MBA and M. Eng. Preferred)
  • Possess necessary certifications such as Working at Heights, WHIMIS, First Aid and Basics of Supervision
  • Ability to read construction working drawings
Nice to have:

  • PMP designation or completed project management courses considered an asset
  • Experience/knowledge of LEAN methodology considered an asset
